Provided is a position detection system with which, even when the communication environment of the position detection system changes, it possible to inhibit a reduction in accuracy when detecting the position of a terminal after the communication environment changes. In this position detection system, a first terminal measures the intensity of radio waves coming from a plurality of wireless connection devices at the first terminal, and transmits the measurement result to a position detection server via a wireless connection device. A second terminal disposed at a predetermined position measures the intensity of radio waves coming from a plurality of wireless connection devices at the predetermined position, generates first reference data including information regarding the measured radio wave intensity, and transmits the first reference data to the position detection server via a wireless connection device. The position detection server receives the measurement result and the first reference data, updates the first reference data already held in memory with the first reference data that was received, and estimates the position of the first terminal on the basis of the measurement result, the updated first reference data, and positional information regarding the second terminal. |
