PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outer rotor for a wheel-in motor, whose production efficiency and operating efficiency are enhanced in a state that its performance is maintained and whose yield can be enhanced. SOLUTION: A plurality of nearly arcuate flat rolled magnetic steel sheets which are small and which can be pressed and worked efficiently are laminated, and a yoke piece 22 is formed. A plurality of yoke pieces 22 are combined and arranged annularly. Split rotor cores are formed. Permanent magnets 20 are fixed in such a way that they cross over respective connection parts of the respective yoke pieces 22 on the inner circumferential face of the split rotor cores. Then, the split rotor cores which comprise the permanent magnets 20 are housed in a state that they are stuck closely to the inner circumferential side of an annular housing case 24.
