The window system includes a window (101) provided with a frame (102) and a sash (103). The sash (103) is adapted to be moved between a closed position, an intermediate ventilating position and an open position, in which ventilating position the sash plane forms an angle within a limited angle range with the frame plane to provide a ventilating aperture (120) in the circumferential of the frame (102) and/or sash (103). A screening arrangement is provided to cover the ventilating aperture (120) in the ventilating position. The screening arrangement comprises a screening element including a ventilating passage (122) formed in a profile element (121) having two adjacent sides of which the one side faces an interior or inner side of the window and constitutes a first face (123) with a first set of openings (122a) and the other side faces an exterior or outer side of the window and constitutes a second face (24; 124) with a second set of openings (122b). |
