PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power steering device enabling suppression of vibration and noise generated in a shaft of a speed reducer while maintaining good steering feeling.SOLUTION: An electric power steering device 200 includes: an electric motor 11 for applying auxiliary torque TM to a steering system via speed reducers 12, 13; a base signal calculating section 220 for calculating a base signal DT serving as a reference of a target signal IM of the auxiliary torque TM in accordance with at least steering torque TB of the steering system; and a correction signal calculating section 226 for calculating a correction signal IBRK for correcting the auxiliary torque TM in accordance with at least rotating speed ωWG of a shaft of the steering system or the speed reducer. The correction signal calculating section 226 includes a frequency shaping portion for suppressing a low frequency component that is equal to or lower than 10 Hz of the frequency of the rotating speed. While good steering feeling at 10 Hz or lower is maintained, resonance of the speed reducers that is generated in a frequency region higher than 10 Hz is reduced by the correction signal IBRK. |
