PURPOSE:To prevent bleeding of a release agent by impregnating the release agent of the viscosity lower than the viscosity of the release agent impregnated into an outer porous fluoroplastic layer into an inner release agent holding layer. CONSTITUTION:The inner release agent holding layer 2 is provided on a hollow or solid mandrel 1 having a circular section and further, the outer porous fluoroplastic layer, for example, a porous tube 3 of a tetrafluoroethylene resin is provided thereon in order to improve the adhesiveness in the longitudinal direction of a fixing roller. The material for the inner release agent holding layer 2 includes heat resistant felt, open-cellular silicone rubber, etc. The material for the outer porous fluoroplastic layer 3 includes the porous tube of the tetrafluoroethylene resin. The release agent of the viscosity lower than the viscosity of the release agent to be impregnated into the layer 3 impregnated into the inner layer 2. The viscosity of the release agent to be impregnated into the inner release agent holding layer is more preferably one-half the viscosity of the release agent to be impregnated into the outer porous layer or below. The bleeding of the release agent is thereby substantially prevented and the release agent is obtainable for a long period of time. |
