PURPOSE:To realize an extremely effective slider contact preventing device by providing cams between flexures disposed at both the sides of a magnetic disk, rotating the cam and abutting it against the flexures. CONSTITUTION:The flexures 1 are disposed at both the sides of the magnetic disk 4 and the slider is attached through a gimbal 2. The cams 6a-6c are disposed between the respective flexures 1 to abuts against the upper and lower flexures 1 when a motor is rotated. Accordingly, the flexure 1 is displaced by a speed decided by a cam form. T the time of loading, the slider is positioned to a prescribed floating state according to the rotation of the cam by lowering the speed at a prescribed altitude. At the time of unloading, since the cam is rotated and the slider is separated, the effective slider contact preventing device can be obtained.
