The X-ray tube has an anode which is rotatably mounted in the vacuum housing and which rotates during generation of the X-ray radiation. The tube also has a cooling body and an adjustment unit. This is provided to bring the cooling body into heat conductive contact with the non-rotating anode. The cooling body has a section outside the vacuum housing against which a cooling medium strikes.
