A multipurpose seat and table apparatus including a seat means having a first surface fixed to the base, a movement means connected to the seat means and a reversible element connected to the movement means and having a second seating surface and a substantially planar first table surface, wherein actuation of the movement means enables at least a partially arcuate movement of the reversible element between a first orientation, wherein the reversible element provides a generally horizontal second seating surface, and a second orientation, wherein the reversible element provides a generally horizontal first table surface. This multipurpose seat and table apparatus can be secured to the deck of a boat, with the first and the second seating surfaces arranged back-to-back.
