PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a press checking device for a press pipe joint, capable of checking the joined condition between a pipe and the joint, at a distance from the joint, and of checking not only whether pressing work is done or not but also whether a specified pressing amount is imparted or not. SOLUTION: The press pipe joint 2 presses the outer peripheral face of a joint body 3 for joining the pipe 4 thereto in pressure contact. The press checking device for the press pipe joint uses an envelopment 1 for enveloping at least a press site and checks the completion of the press joint in accordance with the enveloping condition.
