PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of knocking down a floor panel which minimizes the time for vehicle traffic control required for the dismantling of the floor panel, which enables a work procedure to become simple, which has a high work efficiency, which does not entail a big noise, and which has low costs of facilities and a high degree of installation. SOLUTION: The device 6 for knocking down the floor panel consists of a support 8, a receptacle 9 and a jack 11. The support 8 is installed upright from the lower flange 2a of the existing main column 2, and the receptacle 9 in a beam form is projected from the side of a web 2b. Then the jack 11 is mounted on the top surface of the receptacle 9 through the mediation of an angle-adjustment mechanism 10. A pair of devices 6 for knocking down the floor panel are mounted on both sides of the web 2b, and are acted upon by an upper-lifting force which is bilaterally symmetrical. The required number of devices 6 for knocking down the floor panel are provided on the undersurface of the existing floor panel 1 before traffic control. Then the device 6 for knocking down the floor panel knock up and peal off a divided floor panel 4 from the undersurface of the existing floor panel 1 by the pressure by the jack 11.
