An escape ladder for emergency is provided to be used simply by users when it is necessary, and to help users to escape from a risky situation and then wait therein for a while after escaping. An escape ladder for emergency includes plural ladder shape joint members(1), a drum(3), a driving motor(5) and an escape basket(7). In a lower direction, the plural ladder shape joint members are connected to maintain a straight line state without being folded by a holding part. The drum stores the plural ladder shape joint members by having them wound thereon. The driving motor rotates the drum to unfold the ladder shape joint member in a straight line state or to wind it roundly. The escape basket is installed at the end of the ladder shape joint member to have a user sit therein.
