<p>A measuring method for the available bandwidth of link and a measuring method for the available bandwidth of network. The method can realize the measuring to the available bandwidth of any link in the network through sending eight detecting packet assembly and measuring the interval between detecting packets at the detecting receiving end for tracing and analyzing the flow variation characteristic of the designate link; or can realize the measuring to the network, the source node and the destination node and the range of which have been given for knowing the input and output bandwidth or the variation state of the background current of the network. The method can be applied in link and network fault diagnosis, capacity planning, QoS controlling/QoS service class verification, load balancing, reroute, discover and dissolve of network attack and so on many field. The method can also be applied to the environment in that the classic route available bandwidth measuring method does not apply, that is the situation that there is not only one link of minimum capacity in the route, or the link of minimum capacity is not the link of minimum available bandwidth.</p> |
