PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water heater capable of determining whether or not piping between a boiling-up circuit and a heating segment is connected in reverse connection state while a time required for a test running is being reduced.SOLUTION: A boiling-up operation carried out in a test running and a reverse connection determination for determining whether or not piping between a boiling-up circuit 12 and a heat pump unit 13 is in a reverse connection state are carried out in parallel at a control unit 100. Further, the control unit 100 performs heat exchanging processing between heat storage fluid heated by the heat pump unit 13 and water for heated water supply in a bath tub 51 by a bath heat exchanger 42 at the time of reverse connection determination and performs a reverse connection determination on the basis of a temperature difference for water for heated water supply before and after passing through the bath heat exchanger 42 during execution of the heat exchanging processing.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8 |
