PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rechargeable battery having an easily manufactured case and allowing easy insertion of an electrode assembly into the case.SOLUTION: A rechargeable battery includes: a wound electrode assembly that includes a first electrode and a second electrode; a case that has an opening into which the electrode assembly is inserted; a cover coupled to the case at the opening; and a terminal that is electrically connected to the second electrode and protrude outside the case. The electrode assembly includes two front surfaces facing away from each other and two curved surfaces that connect the front surfaces.
