Provided is a portable telephone (1) having a storable display plate (10), wherein a plate-specific opening (4) for inserting and removing the display plate (10) is provided in a casing (3). A strut (4a) is also provided in the casing (3) so as to bridge the plate-specific opening (4). A slit (13) is formed in the display plate (10) such that the passage of the strut (4a) therethrough causes the display plate (10) to move inside the plate-specific opening (4), thus allowing the position of the display plate (10) to be changed. |
