<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To change a sense of distance or a sense of expanse by applying signal processing to extracted sound components after extracting specific components in sound signals. <P>SOLUTION: A specific component enhancement processor 31, for example, extracts sound signals of human voice included in the sound signals. The sense of distance is changed by the processing for changing frequency characteristics and sound volume of the extracted sound signals. A specific component enhancement processor 34, for example, extracts sound signals of cheers and applauds included in the sound signals. The sense of expanse is changed, for example, by applying surround processing to the extracted sound signals. The sound signals in which the sense of distance and the sense of expanse are changed are reproduced from a speaker 19 by synthesizing them. In this way, it is possible to allow a user to further clearly hear voice of, for example, a commentator or the like without changing the entire sound volume balance, and also, possible to allow the user to have a realistic sense of being there by the enhancement of the sense of expanse of realistic sound such as the cheers and applauds. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
