STRUCTURE FOR PREVENTING CORROSION OF BLACK MATRIX OF LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY

PURPOSE: A structure for preventing corrosion of a black matrix of a liquid crystal display is provided to additionally form a color filter pigment pattern on a chrome-exposed portion to prevent chrome metal from being corroded. CONSTITUTION: An array substrate(1) on which active matrix elements are formed and a color filter substrate(8) on which a color filter is formed are attached to each other. Liquid crystal is injected into the inner space of the attached substrates and the substrates are sealed by a sealant(9) to construct a liquid crystal panel. A black matrix(5) is formed on the color filter. The black matrix is partially exposed to the outside of the sealant. A color filter pattern layer(20) covers the exposed portion of the black matrix. The color filter pattern layer is overlapped with the sealant by 0.1-0.5mm.
