A system and a method for an e-gift certificate service, and an e-gift certificate service server and an e-wallet thereof are provided to issue the e-gift certificate to be stored in the e-wallet and enable a user to simply use the e-gift certificate stored in the e-wallet by authenticating only the e-wallet. An e-gift certificate service server(100) stores e-wallet information including a serial number of the issued e-wallet(400), a verification value and a password, and e-wallet reader information including the serial number and a reader verification value. The e-gift certificate service server authenticates the e-wallet with the e-wallet information when an e-wallet reader(200) requests authentication of the e-wallet, authenticates the e-wallet for storing the e-gift certificate(500) when the e-wallet reader requests issuance of the e-gift certificate, and issues/transmits the e-gift certificate having the serial number to the e-wallet reader when the authentication is successful. The e-wallet reader and the e-wallet include the serial number and a secret value corresponding to the reader and e-wallet verification value. |
