Provided is an ultrasonic probe such that slew rate can be adjusted while the dimensions of the ultrasonic probe and the sizes of circuits thereof are kept to a minimum. The ultrasonic probe comprises: an oscillator; transmit circuits constituted from an oscillator drive unit including a current mirror comprising a low voltage transistor and a high voltage transistor connected to the oscillator, and a power source for supplying an operating current to the low voltage transistor of the oscillator drive unit; a correction unit configured from a transmit circuit drive unit replica having the same configuration as the oscillator drive unit, a bias unit for providing a constant sum for the currents flowing through a low voltage transistor and a high voltage transistor of the transmit circuit drive unit replica, and an observation unit for copying and extracting the current flowing through the low voltage transistor of the transmit circuit drive unit replica; and a distribution unit for passing a signal to the power supply of the transmit circuit to cause a current of the same value as the current value extracted by the observation unit to flow. |
