PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a high quality image while keeping accuracy of temperature control of a fixing member with excellent energy saving property.SOLUTION: A fixing apparatus 20 has at least one of a fixing belt 21, a pressurizing roller 22 that faces the fixing member and forms a nipping portion to which a recording medium is conveyed, a halogen heater 23, an outer cover 25 which accommodates at least the fixing belt 21 and the pressurizing roller 22, and a non-contact type temperature sensor 40 which is provided in the outside of the outer member and detects the temperature for controlling the temperature of any one of the fixing member and the pressurizing member. The outer member has at least one temperature detecting hole 50 for making the non-contact type temperature sensor 40 detect the temperature of any one of the fixing belt 21 and the pressurizing roller 22. A part or the whole area of the temperature detecting hole 50 is blocked by moving any one of the non-contact type temperature sensor 40 and a fitting component 41 fitting the non-contact type temperature sensor 40 to the outer cover 25.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
