<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alkaline fuel cell capable of improving performance, preventing power stoppage by fluidity of electrolyte and a damage of a cell function, and using a metal electrode of low cost. <P>SOLUTION: A porous electrolyte membrane having alkali resistance or acid resistance manufactured with ceramic powder made of mixed powder of silica and titanium oxide as a raw material with a grain size of a powder within a range of 50 to 200 μm is embedded in an electrolyte chamber. A catalyst material of a hydrogen electrode has 7% of PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) and 1% of carbon black as bonding agents added to a catalyst alloy of 65% of nickel and 35% of aluminum. A material of an oxygen electrode is Ag/C made to carry silver particles on carbon black with 7% of PTFE added to 4.5mg/cm<SP>2</SP>of silver. A material of a catalyst membrane of an electrode is nickel or silver powder having hydrogen adsorption and corrosion resistance with a wide surface area. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
