The present invention relates to the technical field of mobile communications, and particularly, to a data transmission method and apparatus. In the method, a reception end can determine, according to a preset indication, whether to parse a received relayed available message; if the reception end receiving the relayed available message needs a device having a relay function to provide a relay service, the reception end parses the relayed available message; and if the reception end receiving the relayed available message does not need a device having a relay function to provide a relay service, the reception end discards the relayed available message and does not parse the relayed available message. In this way, waste of resources can be avoided. |
