<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the malfunctions due to the defective touches of switch contacts and to improve the reliability with a thin and light-weight keyboard by controlling a key matrix part based on the outputs of a press point detecting part and a key area memory part. CONSTITUTION:A finger press point detecting part 2 detects a pushed point on a touch screen 1 and outputs a signal to show the detected point. A keymatrix control part 4 compares the position information on the pushed point with the information on a cross point area of a key area memory part 3 and outputs a signal to specify a cross point corresponding to a pushed key. A key matrix part 5 inputs the output signal of the part 4 to turn on a matrix switch of the cross point and outputs the corresponding key signal via an output interface part 6. As a result, the malfunctions due to the defective touches can be eliminated for improvement of the reliability of a keyboard. Furthermore the thickness and the weight of the keyboard are reduced by packing its component parts into a single sheet of a printed board.</p> |
