Vice with stressing head and thermoplastic face - has piston which can be heated and pressed against cartridge to transfer heat to stressing head

A vice has a piston (3) in a tensioning arm (1) which can be heated and pressed against a heating cartridge (13) and thermo sensor (14) by means of a screw bolt (2). The cartridge (13) is protected by a ring (4) and heated insert (5) surrounded by a sleeve (6) containing, at the rear, thermoplastics (7) with integral springs (8) separated from the front part by intermediate plates (9). The front part is the stressing head (10) with a thermoplastics face (11) which reduces the heat transference to the work project. USE/ADVANTAGE - The thermoplastics face of the stressing head is heated and is automatically moulded into the profile of the work object.
