PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to effectively cancel the detect torque by effectively performing the effect of a deviated pitch even when small teeth of a rotor and a stator are machined by conventional machining accuracy. SOLUTION: The stepping motor comprises a rotor 2 having a plurality of small teeth 4 disposed at an equal pitch, and a stator 1 having a plurality of salient poles (P1 ) including a plurality of small teeth 3 on the surface opposed to the teeth 4 of the rotor 2 via an air gap and arranged, wherein the number of teeth per one pole of the stator 1 is i×j (where i, j are integers of 2 or more). In this case, when the center of the one tooth (teeth 4) of the rotor 2 coincides with that of the arbitrary tooth 3 of the stator 1, the teeth 3 of 0, 1×δ, 2×δ,..., (i-1)×δ(whereδis a predetermined angle) of the deviated angle of the centers of the teeth 3, 4 of j pieces are arbitrarily disposed in the pole of the stator 1 including the teeth 3 of the stator 1.
