<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an evaporator for a mini-loop heat pipe capable of simplifying a structure of the evaporator, being installed to a heat absorber in compact and improving heat exchanging efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: This evaporator 100 for the mini-loop heat pipe comprises a tubular body 1, upper, side and lower wicks 2c, a liquid injection means 3 and a vapor flow channel means 4. The tubular body 1 has the flat cylindrical shape and has a space for storing the liquid inside. The upper wick 2a, the upper circumferential wick 2b and the lower wick 2c are mounted respectively along an upper inner face of the tubular body 1, along the circumference at a side part and along a lower inner face of the tubular body 1 to form a spatial part to store the liquid inside. The liquid injection means 3 supplies a heat exchanging medium to the spatial part. The liquid discharging means 4 discharges the heat exchanging medium evaporated in grooves 2d, 2e longitudinally and laterally formed on the lower wick 2c, to the external when the heat exchanging medium absorbed by capillary action of the lower wick 2c formed on the lower inner face of the tubular body 1 is heated from an outer surface of the tubular body 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
