<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a method for judging whether or not to execute density correction of an image whereby whether or not to execute density correction of the image can be judged more correctly, and to provide a printer. <P>SOLUTION: In the method for judging whether or not to execute density correction of the image which is carried out when the printer with a plurality of nozzle groups comprised of a plurality of nozzles aligned along a predetermined direction prints the image, the method includes a step for printing on a medium a pattern for comparison in the case of not executing the density correction and a pattern for comparison when the density correction is executed by delivering ink from two or more nozzle groups among the plurality of nozzle groups, and by forming mixing dots of ink from the nozzle groups, a step for reading a density of each pattern for comparison, and a step for judging whether or not to execute the density correction of the image on the basis of read values of the densities. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
