A RFID label suitable for use on a metal support surface. In one embodiment, the RFID label includes a substrate having a downwardly extending integral leg. RFID circuitry is disposed on the substrate adjacent to the leg which spaces the RFID circuitry from th e support surface to reduce interference from the support surface.
