<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus in which gloss can be appropriately controlled in compliance with the glossiness desired to be outputted by a user and the balance with graininess, cost, etc., being another important factors can be most adequately controlled. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus has at least two image forming modes to form images having high and low relations with respect to gloss characteristics and makes the use ratio of toner of the same hue and relatively lower concentration higher in the case of the image formation with the high gloss characteristics than in the case of the image formation with the low gloss characteristics. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
