Tongue for a sports shoe and method for manufacturing same

The tongue (1) has a comfort element (5) positioned directly on a face (4) designed to be oriented toward an inside of a sports boot i.e. ski boot, to come into contact with a user`s foot or leg. The element fulfills a technical function of absorbing shocks and another technical function of reducing friction and sliding by shearing. The element is made from polyurethane or silicone with a hardness of less than 15 Shore A, or made from styrene-ethylene-butylene-styerene (SEBS)-based thermoplastic elastomer. The length of the tongue is capable of coming into contact with the user`s tibia. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a sports boot tongue.
