PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently manufacturing a functional member having no base material, capable of thinning this member, while preventing an evil caused by having a base material, that is, the occurrence of a curl of the functional member, in the functional member capable of exhibiting the specific function. SOLUTION: This functional member 10 having no base material is manufactured by performing one by one of (1) a process of filling a functional layer 3 including an ionizing radiation curable resin for transferring a concave-convex pattern between a base material 1 and a mold 2 having a predetermined concave-convex pattern, (2) a process of separating the functional layer 3 and the base material 1 from the mold 2 after half-curing the functional layer 3 by irradiating to the filled functional layer 3 with ionizing radiation, and (3) a process of separating the functional layer 3 from the base material 1 with a part stuck with an adhesive sheet 4 as a starting point by sticking the adhesive sheet 4 to a part of the functional layer 3.
