PURPOSE:To make it possible to detect poison in water quickly and simply by using a microorganism sensor wherein an immobilized microorganism film in which nitrite bacterium that is independent nutrition bacterium is immobilized is combined with a dissolved oxygen electrode. CONSTITUTION:Buffer solution 18 is sent to the immobilized microorganism film of a microorganism sensor 2 which is provided in a constant temperature oven with a pump 20. The buffer solution 18 contains ammonia nitrogen which is to become the substrate of nitrite bacterium. A circulating system 54 is formed through a heat exchanger 24 and a flow cell 10. Meanwhile, test water 25 to be measured, calibrating standard solution 28 of the sensor 2 and washing water 30 are sent with a pump 32. The dissolved oxygen in the test water 26 and the standard solution 28 is saturated with an air pump 34. A liquid sending system 38 for sending the liquid to the immobilized microorganism film through a heat exchanger 36 and the flow cell 10 is constituted. When poison is mixed in the test water 26, the ammonia-oxidizing activity of the nitrite bacterium in the sensor 2 is decreased, and the output of the sensor 2 is increased. Thus, the presence of the poison mixed in the water can be detected highly sensitively in a short time. |
