<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hologram recording device which is wide in reconstruction tolerance and can make recording density higher. <P>SOLUTION: A light beam released from a light source (1) for generating a coherent light beam is divided to a first light beam for forming signal light and a second light beam for forming reference light by a beam splitter (3). The first light beam is made to exit as the signal light by the information to be recorded by a first optical system. The second light beam is made to exit as the reference light having a cylindrical wave front by a cylindrical lens (8). The signal light and the reference light are then made incident on the same position of the recording medium (6) to record information in the form of interference fringes. By using the light having the cylindrical wave front as the reference light, the separation performance in the direction orthogonal with the axis of the wave front is considerably improved and the recording density can be made higher. Hologram recording of an angle multiplex type can be performed by providing the device for supporting the recording medium (6) with a rotating mechanism. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
