<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent increase of hydrogen gas concentration in the surrounding of a vehicle, and to improve safety by acquiring information related to the environment of the surrounding of the vehicle on which a fuel cell is mounted by determining whether the environment of the surrounding of the vehicle has the environment where the hydrogen gas is easily accumulated or not, and by making the environment not to discharge the hydrogen gas to the atmosphere when this is the environment in which the hydrogen gas is easily accumulated. <P>SOLUTION: This is provided with the fuel cell stack 21 where the fuel cell in which an electrolytic layer is pinched by a fuel electrode and an oxygen electrode, and which is laminated by pinching a separator in which a fuel gas flow passage is formed along the fuel electrode and the stack is mounted on the vehicle, with a purge means to carry out a purge of the fuel gas inside the fuel gas flow passage, with an environmental information acquiring means to acquire the information related to the environment of the surrounding of the vehicle, and with a control means to make the purge means selectively carry out the purge based on the acquired information related to the environment of the surrounding of the vehicle. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
