PURPOSE: A method of controlling a focus lens, an apparatus for controlling a focus lens operated by the method, and a recording medium thereof are provided to optimize a path of action of a focus lens, thereby preventing waste of power consumption. CONSTITUTION: A normalized focus graph is derived. A corresponding focus value corresponding to a current location of the focus lens is derived(S11~S14). One or more normalized focus graphs are derived. A target position of the focus lens which focuses on a subject is expected(S15). The focus lens moves to the target position(S16).
