PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase sensitivity of a pedestrian collision detection sensor toward a corner part of a vehicle.SOLUTION: In a pedestrian collision detection sensor 40, a total volume of a pressure tube 42 held at an absorber side part 30S is set greater than a total volume of the pressure tube 42 held at the center portion 31 of the vehicle width direction of an absorber 30. Therefore, a deformation amount of the pressure tube 42 when a collision load F is inputted to the absorber side part 30S can make greater with respect to a deformation amount of the pressure tube 42 when a collision load is inputted at the center portion 31 of the vehicle width direction of the absorber 30. Accordingly, the output from the pressure sensor becomes higher, which can increase the sensitivity of the pedestrian collision detection sensor 40 toward a corner part of a vehicle.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
