PURPOSE:To provide a video communications equipment for not generating unnaturalness that video images not facing the direction of a camera are transmitted unless the face of a communicating person faces towards a television camera. CONSTITUTION:The change of the position of the head of the communicating person is detected by a magnetic sensor 101 provided near the head of the communicating person 801, the direction of the line of sight is calculated by a line-of-sight direction calculation part 102 from the signals of the sensor 101, control signals are sent from a camera position control part 103 to a camera driving part 104 based on the calculated result and the position and direction of the camera 802 are turned to the direction of the line of sight of the communicating person at the time. Thus, even when the face of the communicating person 801 is shifted from the optical axis of the camera 802, pictures not facing an opposite side communication person are not transmitted. |
