PURPOSE:To provide a translucent safety grip protrusively inside bathtub and make the grip easily noticeable and the appearance of the grip more attractive by installing a light irradiation device to send light into the bathtub. CONSTITUTION:A safety grip 14 comprises a gel coated layer 18 of thin surface and a FRP layer 20 of heavy thickness dispersively containing glass flakes underneath the said gel coated layer. The safety grip 14 is made to be totally translucent and of a hollow inside construction with nearly same overall thickness. Inner side of a hollow section 30 connecting to the inner side 12 of the bathtub is so shaped as to have an opening and the said opening is attached to the inner side 12 of the bathtab in such a way as to correspond with an opening on the side wall 22 of the bathtub. Outside of the bathtub 10 a light irradiation device 28 comprising a light source 24 and casing 26 of the light source is provided at a location corresponding to the opening on the side wall of the bathtub. Light from the said irradiation device is sent into the hollow section 30 of the safety grip. |
