A matched filter with an amplitude threshold value switch is assigned to single subscriber stations at the receiving end. A radio base station generates a maximum or gold sequence specific to each radio transmission system. This sequence is transmitted to all subscriber stations as a preamble (1) to a real transfer of user data (2). When received by subscriber stations, the preamble is fed to the input of the respective matched filter whose output signal connects to the amplitude threshold switch to create a trigger signal after passing a preset threshold value.
