<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheath for placing a stent-graft on a distal arch aortic aneurysm in a short period of time by causing no damage to a blood vessel nor the deciduosis of atheromatous tumor. <P>SOLUTION: The sheath with a balloon includes a tubular sheath 1 for a stent-graft, a balloon 2 which is located in the neighborhood of the distal end part of the sheath 1 and is inflated to form a shape of the outer tube of the sheath 1, and an air pipe 3 which communicates with the balloon 2 to fill a gas into the balloon. The balloon is made of a soft, thin film of a tubular shape having a diameter larger than that of the sheath, and the peripheral part of the thin film is mounted on the outer wall of the sheath in an air-tight manner while the sheath is inserted in the tubular thin film. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
