PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out a transplanting work by drawing a line at a planting end position using a trace marker in the line drawing posture and use the line as the planting end position in the transplanting work. SOLUTION: A riding type rice planting machine is equipped with a trace marker 38 which is an indicator in running the machine along the already planted seedling row. The trace marker 38 is movable to a housed position housed almost along the machine and a working position delivered toward aside of the machine. The trace marker 38 can change its posture in a line drawing posture for drawing a line in a field and a tracing posture for tracing along the already planted seedling row. Before the planting work, lines are drawn at finishing positions of transplantation by the trace marker 38 in the line drawing posture during a reciprocal traveling of the machine and the reciprocal transplanting work is brought to be possible by using the aforesaid lines as the finishing positions of transplantation.
