<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device, adapted to automatically determine whether an input image signal is a component signal or an RGB signal to switch a color matrix circuit. <P>SOLUTION: The image display device includes a shared input terminal for the component signal composed of luminance signal and chrominance signal and the RGB signal, which is provided on a cabinet 9, and the color matrix circuit 5 for converting the component signal to the RGB signal, provided within the cabinet 9. A synchronous signal detection part 4 for detecting a synchronous signal of the RGB signal and a microcomputer part 1 for switching, based on the detection result of the synchronous signal detection part 4, whether the color matrix circuit 5 converts the input signal to the RGB signal or not are provided within the cabinet 9. The color matrix circuit 5 does not convert the input signal when the synchronous signal detection part 4 detects the synchronous signal, and converts the input signal to the RGB signal when no synchronous signal is detected. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
