PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas adsorbent excellent in adsorption efficiency of malodorous gases, particularly lower aldehyde, and excellent in adsorption efficiency even after stored in air, and to provide an adsorption method of lower aldehyde using the gas adsorbent, an adsorption filter containing the adsorbent, and a production method of the adsorbent.SOLUTION: There are provided [1] the gas adsorbent containing (C) a porous carrier loading (A) aliphatic polyhydric amine having the total number of amino groups in a molecule of 3 or more and (B) an acid having an acid dissociation constant pKin water at 25°C of 2 to 9, and having a ratio of an acid equivalent of the acid (B) to a base equivalent of the aliphatic polyhydric amine (A) of 10 to 90%, [2] the adsorption method using the gas adsorbent of [1], [3] the gas adsorption filter containing the gas adsorbent of [1], and [4] the production method of the gas adsorbent. |
