<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a surface-terating agent which can form a water-repellent, abrasion-resistant, and slippery coating film on the surface of a substrate such as a rubber by incorporating a polyorganosiloxane and a reaction product of a silane or siloxane having amino and alkoxy groups bonded to a silicon atom via a carbon atom with a silane or silioxane having alkoxy and epoxidized hydrocarbon groups bonded to a silicon atom via a carbon atom into the same. SOLUTION: Pref., the silane or siloxane having amino and alkoxy groups has aγ-aminopropyl group, etc., as the amino group in terms of storage stability and has at least two alkoxy groups such as methoxy or ethoxy groups in terms of adhesive properties. The epoxy group of the silane or siloxane having alkoxy and epoxidized monovalent hydrocarbon groups is e. g. a glycidoxy group. The polyorganosiloxane used has a mean compsn. represented by the formula (wherein R<1> is H or an aminated hydrocarbon group; R<2> is H or a hydrocarbon group; 1<=a<=2.5; 1<=a+b<=2.5; 0<=b<=0.4; and n is 4-5,000).</p> |
