An elastic steel band (13), fixed beside (16) the valve tappet (14) and guided over the top of it, is lead through the space underneath the camshaft (11) and movable joined beside it (17). When the band is lifted, the angle formed by the band around the camshaft is widened, while when the band is lowered, the angle is reduced in size and the closing of the valve is advanced.
