PURPOSE: A device for supplying oxygen using electrode rods in an electric furnace is provided to shorten scrap melting operation in the electric furnace, reduce electric power consumption and prevent breakage of the electrode rods, thereby prevent operation stop. CONSTITUTION: In an electric furnace for melting scrap charged into the furnace using electric arc heat of the electrode rods(11) by inserting a plurality of electrode rods(11) into the furnace, the device for supplying oxygen using electrode rods in the electric furnace comprises a hollow oxygen main tube(2) which is integrally installed inside the body of the electrode rods(11) so that the upper part of the oxygen main tube(2) is connected to an oxygen supply source to supply oxygen; and a plurality of hollow oxygen branch tubes(3) which are connected to the outer surface of the oxygen main tube(2), wherein oxygen is supplied into the furnace through the end part of the oxygen main tube(2) and the oxygen branch tubes(3) that are exposed to the outside from the electrode rods(11) that are worn out during arc melting. |
