<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf ball which gives rise to a soft sound and touch and has a good carry. SOLUTION: This golf ball includes a solid core having PGA compression of <=55 and an outer cover layer having a Shore D hardness of at least 60 and has the PGA compression of <=80. In another embodiment, the golf ball has a mechanical impedance having a primary minimal value at a frequency region below 3100 Hz after the ball is held for at least 15 hours at 21.1 deg.C, 1 atm and nearly 50% relative humidity. Further, in another embodiment, the golf ball has the core and the cover having the Shore D hardness of at least 58 and has the mechanical impedance having the primary minimal value at the frequency region below 2600 Hz after the ball is held for at least 15 hours at 21.1 deg.C, 1 atm and nearly 50% relative humidity.</p> |
