An installing and dismantling method of an assembly type streetlight is provided to prevent rainwater and impurities from being flowed in the streetlight, and to fix the streetlight to the foundation by fixing a cap and a base plate to upper and lower ends of the streetlight respectively. A plurality of light pole segments(70a) constituting a streetlight(70) are assembled to form a pillar. A vertical rod(52) of a foundation(50) is fitted in the pillar to form a cylindrical inner peripheral surface of the pillar. A catching plate of a coupling member(80) is inserted in a fixing hook of the coupling member to combine the light pole segments integrally to form the streetlight. A cap(CP) is bolt-fixed to the upper end of the streetlight to shield the upper end of the streetlight. Lights(90) are installed to the upper end of the streetlight. A base plate(60) is bolt-fixed to the lower end of the streetlight. The streetlight is standing-installed on the foundation. The base plate is bolt-fixed to the foundation to fix the lower end of the streetlight to the foundation.
