<p>A weft yarn (4) is needed to be inserted into a a picking main nozzle (3) when the weft yarn (4) is broken between the picking main nozzle (3) and a yarn package during weaving operation. The present invention relates to a weft insertion apparatus capable of inserting the weft yarn (4) automatically. According to the weft insertion apparatus (1), the weft yarn (4) is flown by an air current generator (8) from a winding yarn guide (9) on a stationary drum type measuring and storing device (2) toward a yarn suction device (22), received by the yarn suction device (22), retained by a yarn conveying member (23) at the portion adjacent to the yarn suction device (22) and guided into an inlet of the picking main nozzle (3).</p> |
