<p>PURPOSE:To suppress crosstalk and to reduce deterioration in picture quality by applying two-line parallel transmission to a luminance signal, an audio/additional information signal and a control signal while using two consecutive lines as one set and applying 4-line parallel transmission to a color signal while two consecutive odd number lines and two consecutive even number lines as one set respectively. CONSTITUTION:Biphase conversion is applied to a luminance signal in two-line parallel transmission and to a chrominance signal in four-line parallel transmission. Moreover, biphase conversion is applied to an audio/additional information signal in two-line parallel transmission. A drive pulse HD of each horizontal line is used for biphase conversion in two-line parallel transmission while two consecutive odd number lines and two consecutive even number lines are used as one set. However, let an integral number N be a line after the conversion, then a driven waveform of a (4N+1)th line is equal to a drive waveform of a 1st line before the conversion, a drive waveform of a (4N+3)th line is equal to a drive waveform of a 2nd line before the conversion, and a drive waveform of a 2N-th line is selected to be non-signal. Moreover, the latter half of a final line of lines whose total number is an odd number is set to be non-signal.</p> |
